In a context in which robotics is considered key to the progress and technological development of countries, the R2M project was born. R2M projectFlexible and reconfigurable manufacturing systems based on robot-machine collaboration" was born.
From SMARTPM we will chart the way forward, leading R2M with the support of AFM Cluster as part of a consortium that also includes leading companies in the machine tool sector such as SORALUCE, JUARISTI, Fagor Arrasate, Fagor Automation, Aldakin Group and Virtualware.
R2M is a commitment to research on manufacturing systems based on robot-machine collaboration.. Its goal: to seek the best integration of both automation and intelligent robotics technologies and advanced manufacturing technologies.
Change in the robot-human relationship model.
One of the highlights of the project is the change in the robot-human relationship model. The emergence of cobots (designed to work with people in the same space and even interacting) and a return to the humanism of Industry 5.0 enables a new relationship model that is sustainable over time.
In this sense, the project follows SMARTPM's valuesThe project is designed to help industrial development continue to evolve and maintain a fundamental role for the benefit of society. to ensure a positive impact on society and put people at the center.
Smart Industry Strategy
The R2M project is aligned with the RIS3 Smart Industry strategy of the Basque Government defined in the framework of the ".Science, Technology and Innovation Plan Euskadi 2030.".
Within the defined areas of the manufacturing value chain defined in the plan, the R2M project is oriented towards sustainable, flexible, zero-defect, connected and automated production processes.
The R2M project has been financed by the Basque GovernmentThe R2M project has been funded by the Basque Government, through the SPRI through the R&D&I support program Hazitek Estratégico, to improve the competitiveness of companies, during the period 2021-2023.
